Let's Chat in Korean
Chatting is a good way to learn a new language especially when we are not living in the foreign country where everybody speaks it. In general, we use text books and other materials to learn a new langauge. Yes, to get to a certain level, we need to take that method, for example, to have correct grammar. But, why, we are not obligated to start from the very basic and continue to learn gradually more difficult ones. That's what I think, anyway.
Yes, it's always good to know first how to say 'hello'.
Hello: 안녕하세요 [annyounghaseyo]
Hello: 안녕 [annyoung] - between friends
Then, of course it's good to know how to introduce oneself, saying 'nice to meet you'.
My name is...: 제 이름은 (그레이스)입니다. [ze ireumeun (Grace) imnida]
Nice to meet you: 반갑습니다 [bangapseumnida]
And what should we learn next?
Anything you want. ^_^
We can roughly start with,

Imagine, you are talking in English to a Korean friend who thinks you don't speak a word in Korean except 'hello' and 'thanks', and suddenly you say 'really?' or 'that's cool' in Korean in the very right situation, that can be such a fun!
It can be a little difficult to memorize all these things at once, but if you try very hard to be accustomed with these expressions - as much as you can digest -, believe me, you will be able to communicate with Korean people in a month. Of course, only if you are ready to concentrate on this language and that you're motivated enough to devour all the Korean words you encounter.
Oh, you're not that much motivated? Alright, don't expect to communicate with Korean people in Korean within a few months and take advantage of all the benefits you could get. =)
